Shalini graduated from the prestigious University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, ranked among the top five Engineering Universities in the United States. She also holds an MBA in Finance from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. In 2007 Shalini join the Al Fara’a Group as Group Performance Director and it was whilst working on a project here that she spotted a gap in the food and beverage market and Purple Honey Group was born. 
 
Following the success of the Group’s first restaurant Coriander in Bawadi Mall, Al Ain, Mall management approached Shalini to develop and open a Lebanese casual dining concept and in 2011 Zaytinya, a stylish, modern Lebanese restaurant opened its doors. As a result of the overwhelming success of both restaurants, Shalini set to work on developing a gourmet Indian quick service restaurant and in early 2014 launched Biryani Pot in Galleria Mall, Abu Dhabi. Fast forward to today and the Group own and operate 8 restaurants across the UAE with stunning new projects underway.
